About Me
In 2009, after eight years as a fitness instructor, I hit a breaking point. It was during a gentle yoga class that I had a profound realization – the need for self-care and the desire to share the transformative power of self-love, peace, and connection with others. This journey led me to the doors of the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, where I embarked on an enriching path. I completed my 200 and 500-hour yoga teacher trainings, specialized in Ayurveda, and even pursued Ayurvedic Practitioner training. From 2013 to 2014, I lived as a Kripalu School of Ayurveda Intern, eventually becoming a faculty presenter, leading retreats and trainings. I was determined never to lose the ability to stay present in a world that often pulls us away from mindfulness.
Today, as a mother of two boys aged 2 and 5, I fully grasp the challenges of juggling parenting, work, and self-care. Some days, the bar is set low, just making sure everyone's fed and dressed. But amid life's chaos, yoga and meditation remain non-negotiable. My daily practice allows me to show up as a whole and connected individual for my family, students, and myself. It's my calling to share the joy and transformative potential of yoga and meditation with anyone interested.
In 2022, I felt drawn to an even deeper practice, embarking on a Transcendental Meditation journey and engaging in teaching and learning at Maharishi International University. My dedication to yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, and self-care remains unwavering, and my knowledge continues to evolve as I grow. I give back to my communities by leading yoga from the heart and teaching these technologies alongside my clinical endeavors in higher education. I firmly believe that yoga is not confined to the mat; it's a way of life, a path to freedom and self-discovery that everyone deserves to explore.
